Identifying impacts from food and farm digestates

This report considers the potential environmental impacts from the digestate from Anaerobic Digestion (AD), particularly with respect to the potential effects on air quality, and the risk of plastic contamination of soils following the use of digestate.

The report sets out the evidence gathered for options to mitigate: ammonia emissions from digestate during storage and use; methane emissions during digestate storage; plastic contamination of digestates.
